Do the Budokon: Jennifer Aniston does.
September 13, 2007
Jennifer Aniston has hopped another celebrity fitness train. This one is headed to a practice called Budokon, which was founded and created by L.A.’s Cameron Shayne. Bukodon is an integration of the Yogic, Martial and Living Arts into one wholistic mind-body-spirit system. The Beauty and the Dirt blog states “Budokon allows a person of any gender or level of physical health to explore the martial arts and yoga in a safe non-competitive environment.”
I’m sure Cameron believes in it and how it organizes the body, concentrates the mind, and does something with the playfulness of the spirit. It’s a little out there for my taste, but Jennifer sure looks great these days.
Go Budokon, Go! Thanks to Cameron Shayne for keeping those celebs fit and pretty. We love it!
Hollywood Starlets Use 2000 Year Old Exercise To Shape Up
September 7, 2007
The latest way Jennifer Aniston, Penelope Cruz, and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell stay in shape? You would think with designer workout pills and slick Pilates machinery, but, alas, no! It is with a 2000 year old invention called a kettlebell:
The secret, according to Tommy Mathews from Outdoor Extreme, is to use just three core exercises that use every muscle in your body. Cool.
It seems to be working:
Keep up the kettlebelling, girls!

Move over Ahhnold…the Bourne Body is where the heat is.
September 5, 2007
Noticed lately how the hottest male movie stars are lean and wiry? That is the hot look in Hollywood these days. Think Matt Damon as Jason Bourne and Daniel Craig as Bond.
How do you get that body? Is it just natural? In some people, of course, it is, but for Matt Damon, he says it’s through long sustained boxing workouts. You can see Daniel Craig’s workout here: rodcollins.com
What do you guys think: Big and Burly or Lean and Wiry? Which is hotter?

With how he looks he might be taking ENERFIT, the new hottest workout pill (shameless plug for my sponsor)
Vibrating Machine Helps Jessica Alba Relax….
September 5, 2007
Jessica Alba just purchased a $10,0000 Korean Turbosonic Vibration Therapy System that she uses for 10 minutes before and after she works out according to english.chosun.com. That is one expensive vibrator.
The latest fad in Hollywood seemingly is to see what fad is hot in the Orient and bring it on over..another example is Gwyneth Paltrow is now into “cupping”. Cupping is a traditional Oriental treatment of sucking out toxic matter from the body, and it seems to be one of the ways Paltrow got her body back into shape just two months after delivery, wrote In Touch. Unsure of the details on how this method “sucks out” toxic matter..more details to follow, if there are any.

A Response to Fitz.
September 2, 2007
I asked a question to Ask Fitz in the That’s Fit (AOL) blog the other day about workout pills and their effectiveness. I did this to honestly get Fitz’s opinion since Enerfit has graciously sponsored my blog from it’s humble beginnings last week. They basically are taking a chance on me after I pitched them on my idea for a blog. Well here’s my question and Fitz’s response:
“Q. Hey Fitz, I have heard a lot lately about pre-workout and workout pills. What is your opinion of these types of supplements? Jake”
His, not so subtle response: “A. Thanks for asking Jake. My answer is this. THOSE PILLS ARE CRAP! GARBAGE! TRASH! SNAKE OIL! People don’t need pills to work out. Pre-workout. Post-workout. Whatever. People need to eat a well balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, lean proteins, calcium and water. For the general population, I think a daily multi-vitamin is a nice insurance policy. Just in case for example, one doesn’t consume a full dose of vitamin C for the day.
“Pre-workout pill” sounds like a useless product for the consumer and a great way for greedy jerks to take the money of the hopeful and desperate. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS NONSENSE! Fitz’
I say Fitz: What are you, the High Priest of Scientology? Have you ever actually taken one of these nutraceutical supplements? There is solid research behind these products and I have actually tried Enerfit, and it really works. I have had many awesome workouts taking Enerfit. Take one and give it a review, I and Enerfit dare you to!
Have a fit day,

Jessica Alba stays a Wii bit fit…
August 31, 2007
Jessica Alba has her own personal trainer, the Wii. Seriously, girl, do you know how inane you sound…
“”I just got the Wii and that’s fun. I play all of the Wii Sports games, like bowling, tennis, and baseball. That’s a lot of fun.”
“They actually call it the Wii Diet, since active players can burn calories!”
I can’t argue too much….she ain’t bad…

Let’s pretend….Kate or Kate?
August 30, 2007
…If you could be someone’s heart (come on, pretend with me here), would you rather be in Kate Moss’s chest pumpin away or Kate Winslett’s?
Kate Moss is definitely skinnier and sedentary (and skankier by the way), and Kate Winslett is more robust and curvier (and more proper, if that matters).
Well, a study by the University of Florida Research Team concludes that they would rather be in Kate Winslett’s chest. Here’s a quote: “Women who are overweight yet fit appear less likely to suffer heart attacks or die than those who are slender but sedentary, say University of Florida researchers whose findings have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.” Read More…
So, my advice: get up off the futon, put down the roach clip, grab a Ceaser Salad Wrap from Wendy’s and go for a run…
Have a fit day,
Jake
Boost your Mojo by Getting Fit
August 28, 2007

Strengthening my theory that being fit makes you sexier, I was browsing Lifetime TV’s website the other day, and saw this headline: Exercise Your Way to Better Sex
The Fit Life is a sexy life, and doggone it, if Lifetime TV does not agree with me. Check it out.
My favorite quote from the article: “Cat pose loosens your spine and hips.” Now if that doesn’t make you want to dig in…
Enjoy your Fit Day,
Jake
Sexual Quality of Life Lower for Obese
August 27, 2007
I am going to start this blog off with a few posts that support my premise that the only way to become sexier, healthier and wealthier all at the same time is by becoming FIT!
The first study was done by the Duke University Medical Center research team. They sound pretty credible, wouldn’t you say?
The main thrust of the study, excuse the pun, was to say that people who are obese are 25x more likely to have sexual problems such as performance difficulties, lack of enjoyment, etc.
Now, curl up in your favorite afghan, and read all about it
Have a fit day,
Jake, Master of the Obvious
